How to Connect the Telegram Bot
Section titled “How to Connect the Telegram Bot”The HARi Telegram bot lets you interact with your CRM from Telegram — look up contacts, check deal status, receive notifications, and log quick notes, all from your phone.
Setting Up the Bot
Section titled “Setting Up the Bot”- Open Telegram on your phone or desktop
- Search for @haricrm_bot (or the custom bot name your admin has configured)
- Click Start to begin the conversation
- The bot asks you to link your HARi account:
- Enter your workspace URL
- Enter your email and password (or use a one-time link from the CRM)
- Once authenticated, you are connected
What You Can Do
Section titled “What You Can Do”Look up records
Section titled “Look up records”Send a contact name, company name, or deal title to the bot:
- “Sarah Chen” — The bot shows matching contacts with key details
- “Acme Ltd” — Shows the company record with recent activity
Check your tasks
Section titled “Check your tasks”Send /tasks to see your upcoming and overdue tasks with due dates.
Receive notifications
Section titled “Receive notifications”The bot can send you real-time alerts:
- New leads assigned to you
- Task reminders
- Deal stage changes
- Overdue follow-ups
Configure which notifications to receive in Settings > Notification Preferences > Telegram.
Log a quick note
Section titled “Log a quick note”Send /note [contact name] [your note text] to add a note to a contact record without opening the CRM.
Check pipeline status
Section titled “Check pipeline status”Send /pipeline to see a summary of your deals by stage with total values.
Managing the Connection
Section titled “Managing the Connection”- Disconnect — Go to Settings > Integrations > Telegram and click Disconnect
- Change notification preferences — Update which events trigger Telegram messages
- Multiple users — Each team member connects their own Telegram account independently
Security
Section titled “Security”- The bot only accesses data you have permission to see in the CRM
- Your Telegram chat is private — no CRM data is shared in group chats
- You can disconnect at any time, and no data remains in Telegram
