FAQ: Mobile Access

FAQ: Mobile Access

Common questions about using HARi CRM on your phone or tablet.

Yes. HARi is a responsive web application that works in any modern mobile browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge). There is no separate app to download — just open your HARi URL in your mobile browser and log in.

No. HARi works entirely in your browser. You can add it to your home screen for quick access:

  • iPhone/iPad: Open HARi in Safari, tap the Share button, then tap “Add to Home Screen”
  • Android: Open HARi in Chrome, tap the menu (three dots), then tap “Add to Home Screen”

This creates an app-like icon on your home screen that opens HARi in a full-screen browser window.

Everything you can do on desktop. The interface adapts to smaller screens:

  • View and edit records
  • Create new contacts, companies, and opportunities
  • Log calls and activities
  • View dashboards
  • Search across all entities
  • Receive notifications

Yes. On smaller screens, HARi automatically adjusts the layout:

  • List views use a compact card layout instead of wide tables
  • Form fields stack vertically for easy thumb input
  • Navigation uses a bottom bar for one-handed access
  • Dashboards rearrange charts into a single column

Can I take photos from my phone and attach them to records?

Section titled “Can I take photos from my phone and attach them to records?”

Yes. On mobile devices, file and image fields show a “Take Photo” button that opens your phone’s camera directly. You can also tap “Choose Photo” to pick from your photo library.

Photos are automatically compressed before uploading (under 1 MB, max 2048px) so they don’t consume excessive storage. EXIF orientation is corrected automatically — portrait photos always display correctly.

After taking a photo, it is saved automatically to the record. You don’t need to scroll down and tap “Save changes” — the photo is uploaded, compressed, and saved in one step. A green “Saved” badge confirms it.

On desktop, the same fields show a standard “Upload file” button without the camera option.

What happens to photos when I delete a record?

Section titled “What happens to photos when I delete a record?”

Photos follow the same 30-day safety net as the record itself:

  • When you delete a record: the photo is preserved (the record is soft-deleted)
  • If you restore the record within 30 days: the photo is still there
  • After 30 days, if the record is permanently purged: the photo is deleted from storage

If you remove a photo from a field (without deleting the record), the photo is deleted from storage immediately.

HARi requires an internet connection to access your data. All data is stored securely on the server, so you need connectivity to view and update records. If you lose connection while editing, HARi will prompt you to save your changes once connectivity is restored.

HARi is tested on screens from 375px width (iPhone SE) upward. For the best experience, we recommend a screen width of at least 375px. Very old devices with small screens may have a degraded experience.

Yes. Mobile access is included at no additional cost. There are no separate mobile licenses or per-device fees. With HARi’s unlimited user model at HK$1,990/month, every team member can access HARi on every device.

If you’re experiencing issues with HARi on a specific mobile device or browser, contact support with your device model and browser version. We test across a wide range of devices and are happy to help.
