How to Use Calendar View

The Calendar view displays your records on a calendar based on their date fields. It is ideal for activities, tasks, follow-ups, and any entity with scheduled dates.

  1. Navigate to an entity list that has date fields (e.g., Activities, Tasks)
  2. Click the View switcher in the toolbar
  3. Select Calendar

Records appear as blocks on the calendar based on their date or date-time fields.

  • Month / Week / Day — Use the toggle to switch between views
  • Today — Click the Today button to jump back to the current date
  • Navigate — Use the left and right arrows to move between periods
  • Click a date — Click any empty date cell to create a new record on that day

Each block on the calendar shows:

  • Record name — The display field of the record
  • Time — Start and end time (if the entity uses date-time fields)
  • Color — Color-coded by type, status, or owner (depending on your settings)
  1. Click on a date (or click and drag to select a time range)
  2. A quick-create form opens with the date pre-filled
  3. Enter the record details
  4. Click Save

The record appears on the calendar immediately.

  1. Click and hold a record block
  2. Drag it to a new date or time
  3. Drop it — the date field is updated automatically

For multi-day events, drag the edge of the block to extend or shorten it.

  1. Click Filter in the toolbar
  2. Add conditions (e.g., Owner = me, Type = Meeting)
  3. The calendar updates to show only matching records

This is useful when the calendar is crowded — filter by your name to see only your schedule.

  1. Set your preferred time range and filters
  2. Click Save View
  3. Name it (e.g., “My meetings this week”)
